About the Surgery

The Consultation
Dr. Dubeta will personally discuss with you your areas of concern, possible alternatives for correction and the benefits and possible risks of each treatment recommended. Your past medical history, and history of any previous facial surgery, will be thoroughly assessed. You are encouraged to have a complete medical check up prior to surgery and we invite you to bring a relative, close friend or interpreter with you, in whom you can confide your concerns. A recent eye examination is recommended for all patients contemplating eyelid surgery.

Planning is key to a successful surgical outcome!
According to the complexity of your case, up to four preoperative visits will be scheduled for you before surgery, to thoroughly discuss all aspects of your planned procedure, arrange facial photography and schedule the procedure(s) selected. Financial arrangements will be discussed by our helpful, caring staff.

Your visits and medical records are kept in the strictest confidence.
 
About the Surgery
Your surgery will be scheduled in hospital or in our modern, fully- equipped Surgical Centre, according to your general health and your entitlement to medical plan benefits. Prior to surgery, you will be interviewed by one of our Board Certified anaesthetic specialists, who will care for you during anesthesia and recovery. Surgery can be carried out under local, twilight (intravenous) or general anesthetic, according to your wishes and needs. Our qualified nursing staff are of the highest caliber, and will caringly assist you through recovery from anesthesia and surgery.
 
Following Surgery
Most facial surgery is carried out on a day-care basis. Some types of surgery are followed by a 1-2 night hospital stay, depending on factors such as general health, complexity of surgery and the need for special postoperative care. When recovered from anesthesia, you will be allowed to go home accompanied by a responsible adult. Dr. Dubeta will see you after surgery and will schedule as many follow up visits as are necessary to see you through a safe and speedy recovery.

Longer-term visits are encouraged, to assess your results and satisfaction with the treatments carried out.

Following facial surgery and recovery, a visit with our cosmetologist will help you learn day and evening makeup - the final touch in creating "a new you"!
