Rhinoplasty Surgery to improve or correct the appearance of the nose. Effect: Permanent.

Augmentation Rhinoplasty Rhinoplasty to enhance and increase profile height and/or shape of the nose. Typically used in the Oriental nose or in a saddle nose deformity. Effect: Permanent.

Lifts—Restoration of Facial Youthfulness
Facelift/Necklift Surgery to tighten the facial muscles and remove excess skin and fat. Effect: five to ten years, depending on the patient.

Forehead/ Browlift Surgery to elevate fallen eyebrows and reduce forehead frown lines. Effect: ten years.
Cheeklift Surgery to enhance fullness of the cheekbones or cheeks. Carried out via "hidden" incisions inside the mouth, the effect of this facial contouring is permanent.
Minilift Facelift technique used when sagging of the facial tissues is less severe, or as a "touch-up" following previous facelift surgery. Effect: five to ten years, depending on the patient.
Rhytidectomy Surgery to remove or minimize facial wrinkles. Usually carried out during facelift, forehead lift or browlift. Effect: five to ten years, depending on the patient.
Vermilionectomy (Lip Lift) Surgery to enhance lip fullness and/or reduce height of a long upper lip. Effect: Generally permanent.

Laser Rejuvenation Procedures
Laser Resurfacing Use of special resurfacing lasers to smoothen and tighten skin, and eliminate facial wrinkles and blemishes. Carbon dioxide lasers (Silk Touch, Ultrapulse) and Erbium-Yag lasers are used to safely restore a youthful appearance, with minimal healing time and discomfort. Effect: Generally permanent.

[Laser Resurfacing]
Laser Surgery Use of medical lasers to smoothen and tighten skin, and eliminate facial wrinkles and blemishes. Also used to remove/minimize birthmarks, tattoos and unwanted facial hair, and to relieve snoring.
Laser Hair Removal A series of laser treatments to remove unwanted facial hair. Actively-growing hair follicles are permanently eliminated.

Removal of Unwanted Facial Fat
Facial Liposuction Vacuum suctioning to remove unwanted facial or neck fat deposits. Carried out via minimal "hidden" incisions, the effect of this facial re-contouring is permanent.

Cheek Lipectomy Surgery to remove excess fat of the lower cheeks, to give cheeks a more "hollow" look. Often combined with facial liposuction to re-contour the face. Effect: Permanent.
Submental Lipectomy Surgery to remove excess fat in the upper neck, below the chin. Often combined with tightening of upper neck skin and muscles bands. Effect: Permanent, depending on the patient.

Facial Rejuvenation—Reversing the Signs of Aging
Facial Rejuvenation Through combinations of treatments and facial surgery procedures, the signs of aging can be delayed or reversed, restoring youthfulness to the face. Some treatments are carried out simultaneously, while others are performed in sequence.

Implants & Fillers—Contouring the Mature or Youthful Face
Lip Enhancement Creation of fuller, more sensual lips. Achieved by injection of fat or natural or synthetic fillers such as Collagen, Hylaform and ArteColl; by use of Goretex, Softform or Alloderm implants; or by surgical repositioning of the upper or lower lip margins. Effect: six months to permanent,varying according to method used.
Lipoinjection/ Fat Transfer Transfer of fat from the thighs or tummy, to enlarge the lips or fill in facial grooves or hollows. Effect: two to five years or longer, depending on the patient and area treated.
Collagen / Hylaform / Restylane Natural fillers, injected to enhance lip fullness or to smooth out wrinkles, scars and groove hollows. Effect: repeat in four to six months, as needed.
Arte-Coll Permanent collagen/synthetic injection. Higher initial cost than Collagen or Hylaform, but more permanent.

[Lip Enhancement]
Alloderm Soft natural implant of purified human donor skin tissue. Used for lip enhancement and filling out facial defects or depressions. Effect: generally permanent, depending on the patient and area of use.
Botox Safe, dilute purified extract of bolutinum toxin. Injected in miniscule amounts, frown lines & winkles disappear when the muscles causing them are paralyzed by Botox. Effect: repeat in three to five months, as needed.

Goretex Synthetic soft medical implant material, used for lip enhancement and filling out facial groove lines and depressions. Effect: Permanent.
Softform Synthetic soft medical implant material, used for lip enhancement and filling out facial groove lines & depressions. Effect: Permanent.

[Lip Enhancement]
Silicone / Silastic Solid flexible medical implant material, safely used for decades to augment and enhance cheeks and bony facial features (nose, cheekbones and chin). Effect: Permanent.
Malar/ Mid Facial Augmentation Surgery to enhance fullness of the cheekbones or cheeks. Solid silicone or natural fillers are positioned via "hidden" incisions inside the mouth. Effect: Permanent.
Chin Augmentation Reshaping the weak or fallen chin to harmonize the facial profile. Best carried out with solid silicone implant, or by shifting soft tissue and bone of the chin. Effect: Permanent.

Functional Facial Surgery & Chemical Peels
Endoscopic Facial & Sinus Surgery Use of surgical telescopes (endoscopes) to carry out minimal-incision surgery of the face, and delicate surgery of the nasal passages and sinuses.
LAUP: Laser Snoring Surgery Laser Assisted UvuloPlalatoplasty (LAUP) provides a safe, economical method of daycare surgery for the relief of snoring. Effect: Permanent.
Septoplasty / Septal Reconstruction Correction of nasal obstruction due to deviation or displacement of the nasal septum. Often combined with rhinoplasty, in correction of injuries of the nose. Effect: Permanent.
Chemical Peels Glycolic acid and Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels are used to smoothen fine wrinkles and lines, treat sun-damaged skin, and minimize complexion problems of the face. Effect: long-lasting, as part of a preventative skin care program.
Dermabrasion Removal of acne and other skin scars with high-speed rotating diamond fraises or wire brushes. Largely supplanted by laser facial resurfacing, dermabrasion is still used to treat deeper, more severe facial acne scarring. May be covered by medical insurance plans. A series of treatments may be required to achieve maximum improvement effect: Targeted improvement is 50%, with each treatment given.
